Connect & record with two devices in the same room – two iPhones, two iPads or connect an iPhone and iPad.
Open Detail on both devices in the same room and start a new project on both devices by tapping the purple plus button
Tap the Multiplayer icon (👤+) on both devices to connect the devices together
The devices will auto-connect and you will see the other camera's feed.
Tap Layout and change to split screen (grid) or Picture in Picture (small video on big video) to see both camera feeds on each device. You can change this after recording as well.
Tap the record button (pink record button in the middle) and both devices will start recording
When you tap stop to stop recording, the video and audio from both devices will start syncing, this means the high-resolution version of the video will auto-sync to the other device – you can see the status of this syncing at the top of the project view. You will see a "Preview" label on the video until the syncing is complete.
Once the syncing is complete, you will have the high-resolution version of both video feeds on both devices and can edit the project on either device.
💡 Tip: Audio augmented
Record with the built-in microphones of both iPhones, connect an external lightning or USB-c mic to both devices, or connect an audio interface like the RødeCaster or a wireless microphone set to one of your devices. Detail automatically syncs the audio tracks for excellent audio quality.
