What is the teleprompter?

The teleprompter is a feature in Detail iOS and iPadOS that helps you record to camera (front camera) while reading a script.

Note: This feature is not available in Detail Studio for macOS.

How to find the teleprompter

From the Library

  1. Tap the Record a Script short cut at the top

  2. Choose whether you want the AI Script Writer to write you a script or to add your own script

  3. The app will open in the Teleprompter in the Selfie camera view – type or paste your script into the script area

From an open project

  1. Tap the Teleprompter icon (πŸ’¬) at the top of the left-side menu (you will need to be in recoding mode)

  2. Type or paste your script into the script area

How to use the teleprompter

  • Your script can be edited by tapping on it (tap Done to go out of editing mode).

  • You can move the video preview around by holding it and moving it.

  • Scroll through your script by scrolling up and down.

  • You can check the speed of how fast the script will scroll as you're recording by tapping the speedometer icon on the right. Scroll up to the rabbit to increase the speed or down to the turtle to decrease the speed.

  • Tap the play button to do a practice round and see if the speed is comfortable.

  • To record, tap the record button, to stop tap it again.

  • Once you've recorded you can edit the video as you please
